Our Response to COVID-19

Our Response to COVID-19

We know that the days behind us and the days ahead are very different than we’re accustomed to. But our God is, has been, and will be with us through all that life brings us.

Pastor Joe has discovered a statement (in part) as was issued by American Churches during the Spanish Flu epidemic in 1918.
“Under the directions and authority of the Almighty we do place ourselves on record as cheerfully complying with the request of the Country’s leadership of limiting gatherings to ten, which, we understand applies to all churches alike. We furthermore recommend that our people shall conduct in their own homes some form of religious worship remembering in prayer especially the sick, the protection of our neighbors, and the nation’s very well being.”

So, in likewise response to the current worldwide situation involving COVID-19, and out of our care for you and your family, and has been directed by our local, state, country authorities, we will be suspending all gatherings at the church. This includes Sunday Worship Services and any other mid-week meetings (Bible Studies, MOPS, AWANA, etc.). We will continue to have the Church Office staffed to field any incoming phone calls and help identify those with needs and those who can help to serve one another.

As we begin NOT MEETING together, look for ways to remain together: phone calls, video calls, messaging. Pray together and worship together in your home.

We will be working to provide some devotional materials (whether in print or video format) and will be sharing that with you via email, text, website, etc. So it will be very helpful if we know that we can communicate to our church family en masse. If you can, please consider connecting through the Church Center App:

Other ways to stay in touch and up-to-date:

This is a great opportunity for “the church” that meets to be The Church; loving one another well and caring for the least of these.

Serving Christ, serving you,

Joshua Nadel
Worship Pastor
