What is AWANA all about?

Through our AWANA program at Redlands Community Church we desire to see children meet God as they discover Biblical truths and then to grow in a relationship with Him.
  1. Our program is divided into three parts to maximize your child’s attention:
An interactive large group segment where children meet together to learn Biblical truths through a lesson, games, and Q & A time.
  2. A small group time with a caring adult leader where your child works through an introductory booklet and then an age-specific handbook.
  3. Fun and exciting games, many which are unique to AWANA that allows everyone to participate.
At the heart of AWANA is the opportunity for the church to partner with parents to help in their child’s spiritual journey. To provide materials for parents to work on alongside their child as the child memorizes Bible verses. To provide opportunity for conversations either by what occurred at AWANA or by asking the meaning of what they are memorizing and learning.

Our AWANA group meets most Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm beginning on September 11 and our groups are divided into three separate groups:

Cubbies: 3-year-olds through Pre-K 5-year-olds

Sparks: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
Truth & Training: 3rd grade through 5th grade (6th graders may attend AWANA or Middle School Youth Group).

The cost for our Sparks and Truth & Training groups is $45.00 for the first child in a family and then $40.00 per child, while our Cubbies will be $37.00 per child.

Jews for Jesus March 18

Jews for Jesus presents…

Christ In The Passover

Jesus’ Last Supper was actually a Jewish Passover. Larry Dubin of Jews for Jesus will re-create the traditional Passover service and explain how it foreshadowed Jesus’ death and resurrection in a presentation called “Christ in the Passover” at Redlands Community Church on Sunday, March 18th at 6:00 PM.

Larry Dubin will set a table with items traditionally used at the Passover meal and detail their spiritual significance. He will also explain the connection between the events of the first Passover in Egypt and the redemption that Jesus accomplished, as well as the deep bond between the ancient Passover feast and the Christian communion celebration today.
Jews for Jesus has presented “Christ in the Passover” at over 38,000 churches. It has been enthusiastically received by Christians who appreciate learning more about the Jewish backgrounds of their faith. Moishe Rosen, who founded Jews for Jesus in 1973, has also co-written the book, Christ in the Passover, with his wife, Ceil. This seminal work includes a look at Passover in ancient times and how it is practiced today. It will be available after the presentation. Also available will be a DVD of the Christ in the Passover presentation with David Brickner, the executive director of Jews for Jesus, officiating.

Brickner, a fifth-generation Jewish believer in Jesus, succeeded Rosen as Executive Director in 1996. Brickner has kept Jews for Jesus on the cutting edge as the ministry has expanded and established branches in eleven countries, including the United States, Brazil, Israel, Russia, France, and South Africa. “We exist to make the Messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to our Jewish people worldwide,” Brickner states. “There are still a few that haven’t heard of us!”

Larry Dubin will be happy to answer questions after the presentation. Contact the Church Office for more information. There is no admission charge.

Sunday, March 18th at 6:00 PM
